A NEW PICTURE BOOK BY JONATHAN KRAFT

A picture book for children, grownups, and the universe inside each of us.

The Universe Inside Of You is a gentle, beautifully illustrated journey that helps readers zoom out from the room they are in, travel through the stars, and return with a deeper sense of wonder about their own inner world.

WHY THIS BOOK

Some books help children fall asleep. Some books help them dream.

This one does both.

A quiet, beautifully illustrated story that gently introduces ideas of imagination, awareness, perspective, and the vast inner world each person carries — without ever feeling heavy or instructional.

WHAT READERS EXPERIENCE

More than a story. A small, quiet practice.

A LOOK INSIDE

Four spreads. One quiet journey outward — and back.

01 — Room

Where the journey begins.

02 — Earth

Zooming out from the familiar.

03 — Solar system

Drifting through neighbors of light.

04 — Galaxies

Wonder, scale, and quiet awe.

PERFECT FOR

A book that travels well — across ages, rooms, and intentions.

ABOUT THE BOOK

A quiet adventure that ends where it began — only changed.

The Universe Inside Of You begins in a small, familiar place — a child’s room at the end of the day. From there, the reader is gently lifted up and out, past the rooftops, past the clouds, past the moon, until the entire Earth becomes a soft blue marble below.

The journey continues outward through the solar system and into the deep architecture of galaxies, dust, and starlight. Then, just as quietly, it returns — back through the stars, back through the sky, back to the same small room. The same child. The same bed. And a brand new sense that the universe out there is somehow also in here.

Written for children but loved by grownups, it’s a book about scale, imagination, and the strange and beautiful inner life that lives inside every single one of us.

EXPONENTIAL HUMANISM

As the world speeds up, the inner world matters more.

This book is part of a larger idea called Exponential Humanism: as the world becomes faster and more automated, imagination, curiosity, play, relationships, and inner life become even more important to protect and cultivate.
